2008 Photo Competition

 

 

The competition will ran from 1 February to 30 November 2008

Photographs submitted must relate to gliding in it's widest interpretation e.g.

Photographs of gliders in flight - e.g. free flight, under tow, landing at sunset etc.

Photographs of any other aspect of gliding - e.g. ground handling, weather, personalities, 'situations' etc.

 

The prize for the winning entry was a credit of 2000ft aero-tow - Won By Graham Saw - picture 13a

RULES OF THE COMPETITION WERE 

  1. Photographs submitted must have been taken by the member, immediate family or partner of the member - in any year.

  2. Members can send in up to four photographs.

  3. Each photograph must have a short title.

  4. Members can send in replacement photographs throughout the year as better ones become available, up to the closing date.

  5. Digital photographs should be e-mailed directly to Don Harvey (address below) who will post them on a photo competition page on the Booker GC web site.

  6. Digital photographs should not be resized but e-mailed at the resolution of the camera, unless the member is using dial-up. If this is the case, please do not resize smaller than 800 pixels in the horizontal.

  7. Members who do not own a digital camera can leave hard copy photographs with the club receptionist indicating if they want the photographs returned. These will be scanned by Don and posted on the web.

  8. All photographs will be posted on the web anonymously though the names of those who have submitted pictures will be listed separately, once a number of members have entered.

  9. Throughout December, the membership of the Booker Gliding Centre will be  requested to vote via an on-line form.

  10. In submitting their photographs members are giving their consent for unlimited use by Booker Gliding Centre  (i.e. they waive copyright).
