BOOKER GLIDING CLUB WYCOMBE AIR PARK, MARLOW, BUCKS SL7 3DP INFORMATION SHEET APRIL 2002 From the Committee Having secured the sale of Super Cub FP we have bought its replacement, a Pawnee. This is now in the LJK, having been purchased in Sweden, and is having various modifications and other work done prior to it entering service at Booker. We expect it to be available by the end of June, possibly sooner. Private owners will probably have noticed that the two resident motor‑gliders' parking positions have been moved. This has freed up a great deal of space at the West end of the trailer park which should remove the bottleneck at that end that occurs on busy days, The two syndicates concerned went to a lot of trouble to effect this move and we would like to thank them, on behalf of all Booker members, for their efforts. Another privately‑owned machine, the Lunak, has once again taken up residence in the roof of the blister hangar. We asked the owner last year that this be removed until such time as it could be established that the Club was adequately insured against any possible adverse consequences from its presence. This having been done, we have agreed to its return. From the Office Please note that membership is now due.
