The Booker "solo engine" keeps churning with even more solos!  Congratulations Mr Menon - a great achievement in time for Christmas!

The 100th anniversary of powered flight (and gliding getting binned as Ed points out!) saw a frenzy of flying both power and gliding alike.  We had a steady flow of members turning up throughout the day, with the last launch being flown at sunset.  Graham Saw was seen making his tribute to the brothers, by flying inverted for twelve seconds matching the Wrights first flight.  That's duration&.not the inverted part!

Dinner and Dance

IT'S ON!!  We have booked the venue, so now all we need is you guys!!  Proceedings kick off at the Kings Arms Hotel in Stokenchurch at 18:30 for 19:00, but Bucks Fizz on arrival.

Tickets are on sale from the office priced at £25 per head, payable at time of booking.  We are not able to take this money from your flying account.  (We need to know final numbers by the end of January).

Season Tickets

Thinking about next season?  Thinking of what to do for a glider or even about buying one?  Are you aware that the club operates a season ticket for weekday soaring in all the single seaters?  Currently we have nine single seaters, so there is no excuse for being on the ground!  The ticket is a one off payment and makes great economic sense, costing less than the insurance alone if you were to buy your own glider!

Seasonal Instructor

Flying bookings dictates the need for a seasonal instructor.  The post requires a minimum of an assistant category rating.  If you are interested in this post, or would like to do some more instructing during the season, please give me a call.

Instrument weekend

I have re-scheduled this for 14th and 15th of February. Fingers crossed for some weather!
