BOOKER GLIDING CLUB WYCOMBE AIR PARK, MARLOW, BUCKS SL7 3DP INFORMATION SHEET January 2000 |
Little to report, as one would expect at this time of year.
We have decided to replace the buggies, which have proved so successful, with two newer and more powerful versions - this will happen in March/April.
Wishing you all a happy and successful new year.
From the CFI
Happy New Year! Seems remarkably like last year so far to me . The weather has been dreadful and the field is soaked. I’ll be escaping to NZ for some (hopefully) better weather and leaving the club in the hands of Jed Edyvean please make his life easy whilst I’m away.
Nationals entry forms should now be in the office if you don’t enter you can’t win so get them in by the 31st January or you’ll be disappointed.
Those of you interested in the proposed sports psychology coaching will have to wait just a little bit longer for our programme to get started on account of the coach I’ve arranged being unwell with a serious bout of the ‘flu. I apologise for the continual delays on this front but we will get there.
I’m busy trying to put together a programme of events for this year and would welcome any feedback from members on last year’s activities, especially our Bank Holiday comps. We’re contemplating running some kind of task week/race training week late in the season when the weather should be fairly reliable. All you cross country pilots out there are you interested in race tasks followed by an in depth analysis session? Please talk to me I need to know what members want.
That’s all for now.
