18/08/07 - Scrubbed

17/08/07 - Tasks set at briefing were:

TASK A - Stokenchurch (SOS) - Northampton (NOS) - Andover (AND) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) = 243.7km

TASK B - Stokenchurch (SOS) - Buckingham (BUC) - Andover (AND) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) = 201.6km

A rebrief was held after midday and a new task was set -

TASK C - Stokenchurch (SOS) - Oxford East (OXF) - Chilbolton (CBN) - Didcot (DID) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) = 183.3km.

17/08/07 - Ed Davies has produced the Bump Charts to show competitor progress.

16/08/07 - Tasks were set at the briefing as follows:

Task A - Stokenchurch (SOS) - Wantage North (WNW) - Mursley (MUR) - Newbury South (NES) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) = 225.4km.

Task B - Stokenchurch (SOS) - Wantage North (WNW) - Mursley (MUR) - Pangbourne (PAN) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) = 180.6km.

First launch was at 12:00, task confirmed as Task A.  Max start height 3,000'.   Showers arrived just as the start line opened which meant that the majority of people went through the start line and headed off hoping to miss the worst of the showers.  Eventually the day decayed and we had only one finisher (370).  Eveerybody either landed out, returned to Booker or started their engine.

15/08/07 - Initial briefing was at 10:00.  Uncertain conditions meant that a rebrief was at 12:30.   Decision was that the Competition Director would launch at 13:00 to see if it was sufficiently soarable, land and then declare a task/scrub.    After the sniffer flight returned the day was scrubbed.

14/08/07 - At the 11:00 briefing the Competition Director confirmed that the day was scrubbed.  Results for Day Three are now available.

13/08/07 - 19 pilots flew today on an Assigned Area Task (AAT) of:

Stokenchurch South (SOS) - Calvert (CAL - 15km radiuse) - Chatteris (CHT - 45km radius) - Towcester (TOW - 15km radius) - Booker SW (BO1) - Booker Finish (BF1). 159.7km/410.3km. 

Three pilots completed the task (315, DW and 370).  Everybody else either landed out (279, WD, 27B, M9, P4, 161, 944, Z, K4, EN and FUN), started their engines (GA and 208)  or scuttled back home.  Results will be published tomorrow.

12/08/07 - 18 of 20 pilots flew.  A few didn't make it through the start line and we had three landouts.  A total of 13 completed the tasK

BBO (Booker Bridge) - CHV (Chieveley) - THM (Thame Airfield) - BO1 (Booker SW) - Booker Finish 1 (BF1) - 109.4km.

11/08/07 - 19 of 20 pilots flew today.  Task was:

SOS (Stokenchurch) - AND (Andover) - NOS (Northampton South) - BO1 (Booker SW) - BF1 (Booker Finish 1) - 256.9km

Everybody made it back with no landouts.  Provisional scores are now available, subject to the usual scrutiny & checks etc!

11/08/07 - Briefing will be at 10:00 in the BAS Hangar.  Competitors should rig their gliders and put them on the grid before briefing.

13/07/07 - Bristol Letter of Agreement and Airspace Data Files added.

12/07/07 - The Local Rules, Airspace Concession details, Finish Line briefing and Blog link are all now available.

02/05/07 - The comp has now been opened up to non-Booker pilots

25/03/07 - This year's Competition will be directed by Jim White.  He's currently bringing together a team of volunteers to help out over the period of the comp.
